The Singapore Maritime is a high-level forum for prominent personalities to share their strategic insights on important maritime issues. Launched in 2007 and a regular event of the Singapore Maritime Week, the inaugural lecture was delivered by Singapore’s Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.

ADM E.E. Mitropoulos, Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization and Dr Helmut Sohmen, Chairman of BW Group, delivered the second and third lectures in 2008 and 2009 respectively. The distinguished speaker for 2010 was Capt. Wei Jiafu, President and CEO of COSCO group. In 2011, the lecture was delivered by Mr Nils Smedegaard Andersen, CEO of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.
