Calling all budding designers!

40 years ago, at a time when containerisation was a relatively new concept in Asia, Singapore took the bold step of building a container port. On 23 June 1972, Tanjong Pagar Terminal received its maiden container vessel M.V. Nihon. 40 years on, containers have transformed the way cargo moves around the world and the Port of Singapore has grown to be an important transhipment hub where goods are shipped globally.
