The Maritime Drone Estate (MDE) was set-up as part of the Sea Transport Industry Transformation Map to invest in new capabilities through harnessing emerging technologies for the port and maritime industry. Launched in 2021, the MDE was conceived as a regulatory sandbox and provided a conducive space to support drone companies to develop and test-bed their drone technologies for maritime use cases. Since launch, the MDE has supported more than 10 drone companies, launching more than 100 trial flights. For the visit, we have invited 2 Singapore-based drone start-ups to showcase their technologies – F-Drones Pte Ltd and Skyports Singapore.
