The third edition of Youth@SMW in 2025 is themed "Maritime: Past, Present & Future". It is co-organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF), and proudly led by our MaritimeSG Youth Ambassadors and MaritimeOne scholars. A vibrant platform, uniting industry leaders, career switches and young minds from various educational institutions, the event explores the thrilling career opportunities within the maritime sector—an industry on the brink of transformation.

Participants will have opportunities to engage with industry representatives over lunch, fostering meaningful connections while discovering the diverse possibilities in the maritime industry. As Singapore celebrates its 60th anniversary, we invite you to explore our rich maritime heritage and exciting future. Youth@SMW aims to inspire and empower more young individuals to consider the maritime industry as a viable and exciting career choice. Through this initiative, we aim to showcase resilience of the maritime community, and the future of maritime where there are boundless of opportunities for everyone.

Learning Journey Option 1: PSA Innovation Centre (3.30PM – 5.30PM) Learn about the latest maritime technologies developed by PSA to cater to the evolving digital transformation needs and sustainability of the global maritime industry. Learning Journey Option 2: Hydrographic Vessel Sea Tour with Maritime Drone Display at Marina South Pier (3.30PM – 6.45PM) Go on a sea tour abord MPA's hydrographic vessel ‘Mata Ikan’ and witness a maritime drone demonstration at the Maritime Drone Estate. Discover the different career options available in the maritime industry. Learning Journey Option 3: SIT Campus @ Punggol (3.30PM – 6.15PM) Visit Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)’s new campus at Punggol. Explore The Future Ships and Systems Design (FSSD) Laboratory, Artificial Intelligence showcases, and speak to professors on how you can embark on a maritime-related course at SIT. Learning Journey Option 4: Singapore Polytechnic (SP)'s Centre of Excellence in Maritime Safety (CEMS) (3.30PM – 5.30PM) Have an immersive experience as if you were on a full mission ship, or try out a virtual reality training programme in methanol bunkering, in this fun and educational simulator facility at Singapore Polytechnic. *Learning Journey Option 5: Firmus Technologies (3.30PM – 5.30PM)** Visit this state-of-the-art sustainable Artificial Intelligence (AI) data centre. Discover how the maritime industry is harnessing the power of AI in our digitalisation and decarbonisation efforts, and how Firmus’ AI infrastructure holds potential for doing so in a way that is energy- and cost-efficient. *NRIC number will be collected before the event, in line with venue security requirements.
