Visit the Future Ship and System Design Lab at the Singapore Institute of Technology, which is dedicated to developing cost-effective solutions and adoption pathways for full-electric harbour craft in Singapore. Discover how Ship & System Design, Intelligent Ship and Operations and Shore Charging Infrastructure come together to accelerate the electrification of harbour craft in Singapore.

As part of the tour, Aliciabots will showcase their underwater robot for ship inspection, which keeps ship's hull clean for safer, efficient, and sustainable operations. The robot uses a magnetic crawler to clean and inspect ship hulls without the need for human divers. Unlike traditional methods, it can operate while vessels are at sea or at anchor, reducing downtime and safety risks. By preventing biofouling, the system helps maintain hull performance, improving fuel efficiency—cutting fuel consumption by up to 5 per cent—and lowering associated carbon emissions.
